Metering Equipment Replacement Industrial Building

Metering Bank Emergency Replacement — "Rapid Restore, Zero Downtime"

One night the exterior metering bank was deliberately set on fire with gasoline and burned to the ground. Our team mobilized immediately: secured the scene, documented the loss for insurance, and opened direct channels with APS, Square D, building ownership, and tenant representatives. Knowing tenant continuity was critical, we designed and installed a temporary power system sized to the 1200 A service so operations could continue uninterrupted while Square D manufactured replacement gear. After a nine-month lead time the new equipment arrived; we coordinated permits, on-site staging, and APS commissioning to return the property to permanent, code-compliant service with minimal tenant discomfort.

Property Improvements

To close out the project, we provided a clear case study package summarizing the incident, recovery timeline, and how continuous tenant operations were preserved throughout the rebuild. A before-and-after photo panel helped ownership communicate the restoration effort internally and with stakeholders, along with a short testimonial script that can be used for future outreach. We also recommended a follow-up resilience audit and temporary power planning service to help the ownership group strengthen preparedness for future emergencies across their multi-tenant portfolio.
